AG are passionate about giving young people a chance and working alongside them to help grow and develop their skills. Each year they open up a number of positions for student placements, one of the most recent additions is James Toal who started life as AG’s I.T placement student at the beginning of July of this year.
James will be with AG for the next 12 months for his industrial placement year, he will then return to Ulster University (Magee) to complete his 4th and final year of study in BSc Hons Computer Science.
Over the course of the year, James will be involved in assisting with overall administration and delivery for group software systems as well as providing first line support for Management Information systems along with a whole host of other day to day I.T related tasks.
AG feel that it is important that every placement student is given a wide variety of tasks to undertake on a daily basis as well as a good level of responsibility right from the offset. The HR department works closely with all of our placement students to ensure that they will take away as much experience as possible from their time with AG.
James is very much looking forward to the next few months based at AG’s head office in Fivemiletown:
‘This is great opportunity for me to work within a successful company and to utilise and enhance the skills and understanding that I already have, I am really looking forward to seeing what’s in store for me over the next few weeks and months.’
